Tiarra II

Who is behind Tiarra?

The brain in this band is John, he is responsible for the most compositions, he is also the soul that keeps eight people in place. The band’s story began twelve years ago and it’s an ongoing chapter. Also, our female vocalist, Anda, is one of the unique elements that gives something fresh to the band. Let’s say they are the masterminds of Tiarra.

If you had to put your music into a drawer and print a label on it, what would it say?
CASE IN PROGRESS.

tiarra

Forget about genres for a second – Tiarra ’s music sounds like …?
For every listener it sounds different, for us in the band it sounds like us and with eight people in the mix, there is a lot of creativity to explore every time. Being so different and still getting all of our ideeas together, in order to create Tiarra’s music, is like the music of The Bremen Town Musician would have sound like, when the Grimm Brothers wrote the story.

Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
We don’t have a specific mood, we are eight people full of enthusiasm when writing each song. We are just hungry for more. We found order in disorder and inspiration in most peculiar moods.

Which instrument will surely NEVER be heard on a Tiarra-album?
A Harmonica? Also, the history of the band shows us that is not smart to say „never”.

Which record would you want to listen to when you leave the bathroom in the morning, while the beautiful girl /handsome guy from last night is still in your bed?
Devil’s music (lächelt)

The Fairy-Godmother pops up in front of you and grants you a wish. What do you wish for?
A good wish would be for people to work hard for their dreams and never give up, also we would like our music to reach out to more people in the world.

No alcohol is no solution either. What booze combination will definitely dissolve all your troubles and issues?
Hot cocoa and vodka. Stroh will erase all the worries!

What shows you that someone is a true friend?
You know a true friend when he or she is there for you through thick and thin, giving you advices that might upset you or pushing you away with a real intent to help, not trying to get your approval.

Who was the hero of your childhood?
For some of us, parents, for others … hard to say when we are so many, with such a difference between ages.
What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
Bee Gees… don’t know, just kidding. Neither of us will show off her/his guilty musical pleasures.
What’s next? Tour? Studio? Vacation? Something completely different?
We currently are in a mini-tour in Romania, also we are working on a new studio album and in the fall we will have another tour participating to FEMME Metal Festival in Holland, Eindhoven, going through Vienna, Berlin, Budapest, Bratislava, Prague and maybe Düsseldorf or Leipzig.
