Neue Woche – neue Band. Wir nehmen euch mit ins schöne Großbritannien – Brexit hin oder her. Unsere Reise führt uns nach Newcastle, denn genau da hat sich 2017 die Band Tomorrow is lost gegründet. Seit 2019 stehen sie bei Eclipse Records unter Vertrag und leben einfach im Hier und Jetzt. Sängerin Hazel Jade Rogers hat unsere Fragen beantwortet.
Who is behind Tomorrow is lost?
The band are Hazel Jade Rogers (Vox), Ryan O Hara (Guitar, Chris Young (Guitar), Josh Fodden (Bass and Marc Rush (Drumms? The original Singer & Guitarist came up with the band name, which originally was Tomorrow’s lost….they figured Tomorrow is lost fits better, I reckon they where right. The name actually made its way into the very early version of what became We Are The Lost.
If you had to put your music into a drawer and print a label on it, what would it say?
Anything and everything.
Forget about genres for a second – Tomorrow is lost music sounds like …?
In my opinion the sound of the band mostly resembles the band In this moment, with new strong riffs, powerful vocals and energetic performances, it’s all to come this past year in 2020.
Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
I will naturally say writing songs comes easiest when working through changes or experiences in everyday life. I find if I can write a song from my own life, I can connect to the listeners on a personal level.
Which instrument will surely NEVER be heard on a Tomorrow is lost album?
Ha ha … Never say never. I adore the idea of mixed instruments crossing over between the genres. Avenged Sevenfold and Queen never allowed constraints on their ability to use many instruments in a song.
Which record would you want to listen to when you leave the bathroom in the morning, while the beautiful girl/handsome guy from last night is still in your bed?
It depends how the night went *smile
The Fairy-Godmother pops up in front of you and grants you a wish. What do you wish for?
Belief and confidence within myself. I have always struggled throughout my life with mental health issues so, to be free from those and to grow this band to it’s full potential would be amazing.
No alcohol is no solution either. What booze combination will definitely dissolve all your troubles and issues?
Jager bombs solves everything straight away. But you pay for it the next day with a rotten hangover *lacht*
What shows you that someone is a true friend?
Loyalty, honesty, and compassion.
Who was the hero of your childhood?
I had many, in many fields of work. But my mother was always my hero. Keeping me strong and teaching me to be no-one but myself. She also is responsible for my career in music and love of everything artistic.
What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
I don’t see any of them as embarrassing, and anyone who knows me knows I listen to nearly everything.
What’s next? Tour? Studio? Vacation? Something completely different?
New music, new look, new videos, new performances. All brand spanking new. Tomorrow is lost is coming for 2021!!!
