Band der Woche/DEMM: Enisum

Das Dark Easter Metal Meeting im Backstage wartet auch dieses Jahr wieder mit metallischer Feinkost auf. Den Anfang machen Enisum, eine Black-Metal-Band aus Italien. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack gibt euch Frontman Lys:

Who is behind Enisum?
Enisum is a Lys project. Music and lyrics are written by Lys. Album and live concerts are recorded and played with Leynir (bass), Dead Souls (Drum) and Epheliin (the Female voice in the Enisum album).

Forget about genres for a second – Enisum’s music sounds like …?
Enisum’s music speaks of nature, and the cohabitation of man and nature. But also desolation end existential themes are described in Enisum’s sound. We call our music “Arpitanian Black Metal”. Arpitania is the ancient name of the lands where we live.

Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
There is not a particular mood to write music. I can say that every song reflects the mood of the moment when it was written.

Which instrument will surely NEVER be heard on a Enisum-album?
Oh … I don’t know … I do not exclude anything for the future.

Which record would you want to listen to when you leave the bathroom in the morning, while the beautiful girl from last night is still in your bed?
… what a strange question … I don’t have a particular album … but maybe an album of Dark ambient music will be okay to start the day.

The Fairy-Godmother pops up in front of you and grants you a wish. What do you wish for?
I would like to be healthy. Me and the people that I love. Everything is difficult without health.

No alcohol is no solution either. What booze combination will definitely dissolve all your troubles and issues?
… a good bottle of Tuscany wine … or a good Belgian beer … or … a Scotch whisky will be a “nice” temporary solution.

What shows you that someone is a true friend?
Real friends are there when you have problems and you are sick.
“Friends” who are only there to party and go to concerts are not real friends. That’s what I think.

Who was the hero of your childhood?
The hero of my childhood was my maternal grandfather.

What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
I have many … even some bands that are believed to be great but in truth they have not done anything to define them as great.

What’s next? Tour? Studio? Vacation? Something completely different?
In near future we will play at Festivals in Europe (Dark Easter Metal Meeting, Ragnarök, Rockmetalcamp, Barther and others concerts).
