Who is behind Pillorian?
Stephen Parker, John Haughm, & Trevor Matthews.

If you had to put your music into a drawer and print a label on it, what would it say?
“Stay out of this drawer.”

Forget about genres for a second – Pillorian’s music sounds like …?
Dark Metal.

Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
Unpleasantness, loathing, general hostility.

Which instrument will surely NEVER be heard on a Pillorian-album?
Anything can be used with the right amount of sound manipulation. Anything.

Which record would you want to listen to when you leave the bathroom in the morning while the beautiful girl from last night is still in your bed?
Probably something from Mahler.

The Fairy-Godmother pops up in front of you and grants you a wish. What do you wish for?
A quick, merciful death.

No alcohol is no solution either. What booze combination will definitely dissolve all your troubles and issues?
I generally prefer Rye Whiskey or a very peaty Islay Scotch.

What shows you that someone is a true friend?
Someone who is your friend because they like who you are – as you are – not what you are into, or what you can offer them.

Who was the hero of your childhood?
I don’t remember. Probably someone who rode a motorcycle and stabbed people.

What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
There is nothing embarassing or surprising on my CD shelf. Music is a personal matter and there is no such thing as a guilty pleasure. I listen to music that I like, not what the tastemakers deemed “cool” this month.
