Aus der immer pulsierenden schwedischen Stadt Stockholm kommen Decadence. Die Melodic-Death- und Thrash-Metal-Band wurde 2003 gegründet und besteht aus dem Duo Kitty („Metallic Kitty“) Saric und Kenneth Lantz, die wirklich alles selbst machen. Who is behind Decadence?
I founded Decadence back in 2003.
If you had to put your music into a drawer and print a label on it, what would it say?
“METAL”.
Forget about genres for a second – DECADENCE’s music sounds like …?
The base is Thrash Metal in the style of Testament and Kreator while there is another level of melody and viciousness over it that could remind of Death. The vocals follow that same combination.
Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
A daredevil mood and night-time creativity.
Which instrument will surely NEVER be heard on a DECADENCE-album?

What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
I’m a fan of Garage Rock / Psych from around ’68-’75. So you could quite a few little treasures from that era in myself.
What’s next? Tour? Studio? Vacation? Something completely different?
