Diese Woche haben wir einen französisch-italienischen Bandmix für euch, die Rede ist von Attractive Chaos. 2022 fassten Emma Elvaston, Pietro Paolo und Clément Botz den Entschluss, gemeinsam Musik zu machen. Aktuell schrauben sie fleißig an neuen Texten und Sounds, das Album soll nächstes Jahr erscheinen. Sie haben sich unseren Fragen gestellt.
Who is behind Attractive Chaos?
Emma: I am behind the name. The name Attractive Chaos is related to our sound. We want our music to be enjoyable, addictive, emotional but also very dynamic, surprising and breathtaking.
Forget about genres for a second – Attractive Chaos‘ music sounds like …?
Emma: Our aim is to put back guitar riffs at the center of the music as well as catchy vocal lines. I would definitely define us as a melodic metal band with a very heavy sound.
Which sort of mood produces the best songs?
Emma: As far as I am concerned , it’s anger !
Which person, artist or incident inspired you when you first started making music?
Emma : I remember it as if it was yesterday. One song changed my life drastically. I was around 17 and I was in high school. My best friend came to me and made me listen to something. The song was ‚Nemo‘ from Nightwish. Something happened instantaneously in my brain. It was more than enough to convince me to find a classical singing teacher and start practising. Two years after this event, I joined a cover band for a year and started to perform live.
The Fairy-Godmother pops up in front of you and grants you a wish. What do you wish for?
Emma : Without any doubt, I would ask for the power of teleportation. A year ago, I moved from France to Sardinia. Even if I am very happy with this choice, I miss my family a lot. Plus, two members of Attractive Chaos are still living in France. Outside of summer, It’s a real nightmare to travel from one country to the other. So yes, teleportation definitely !
No alcohol is no solution either. What booze combination will definitely dissolve all your troubles and issues?
Emma : Hugging my niece & gastronomy is definitely the best combination to give you the boost you need to solve all your troubles !
Who was the hero of your childhood?
“Hero” is a very strong word. Actually, I didn’t have heroes when I was a child. I just had idols. Now it’s different. Indeed, my heroes are heroines and they are my grandmothers, my mother and my sister.
What is the most embarrassing/surprising record in your CD-shelf?
Emma : Honestly, I am fine with all of the records on my CD-shelf . They are all related to phases of my life that I don’t want to deny. I used to buy lots of CDs when I was younger. I was constrained to listen to R&B and Hip Hop when I was driven to school but I’ve never been fond of these genres. Around 13, I switched to pop, rock music and progressively got into metal thanks to Evanescence. But I remember listening over and over to these two CDs that I was offered one Christmas: Shakira “Laundry Service” & Avril Lavigne “ Let Go”.
What’s next? Tour? Studio? Vacation? Something completely different?
Emma : We are currently working on the new release of Attractive Chaos. If everything goes as planned, the new album will be ready for May 2024. In the meanwhile, we will use July and August to compose and write lyrics, before turning back on stage in September. Then, we will go on switching between shows, video shooting and single releases until the new album is out !
